Jan had been working as an independent consultant for many years, specializing in web application development, before he joined eZ Systems in 2004 where he worked together with both the core and project team. As a part of his job he also concentrated on performance boosting on large projects implemented with eZ Publish. In 2007 he joined Seeds Consulting AS.

We are pleased to announce that Seeds Consulting has been nominated for the eZ Awards 2008 in two categories:
eZ Awards is one of the highlights of eZ Conference and recognize key contributors to the eZ Ecosystem and the Open Source community over the past year.
There are operators and workflows we at Seeds have developed and have been using again and again for our customer projects. We have put them in an extension named Swark and offered it under the GPL license terms to the eZ Publish community.
The name Swark is a combination of first letters of Swiss Army knife. Our intention is to offer the community an extension with functionality needed very often yet missing in eZ Publish, i. e. to offer a tool which will be as useful to eZ Publish developers as a Swiss Army knife was useful to MacGyver.
The extension is quite popular. Only a bit longer than one month after releasing the first eZ Publish 3 version, Swark has been downloaded more than 740 times (eZ Publish 3 version 340 times from ez.no, 101 times from seeds.no and eZ Publish 4 version 200 times from ez.no, 103 times from seeds.no).
